OnePlus 2 Reviews and User Opinions – Features, Comparison Price

OnePlus 2 Reviews: It was almost a year ago when the OnePlus 2 was launched, and like its predecessor, it was another flagship killer, some even named it as the cheaper variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6. The device came in with a lot of changes and improvements and is still considered to be a good option for an affordable flagship smartphone. So in this post, we are going to a full review of the OnePlus 2.

Design & Display- When it comes to making premium looking smartphones at an affordable then these Chinese smartphone giants  are truly an expert in it, and the OnePlus 2 is a good example of it. The device comes with metal rim edge, the front kind of reminds of the OnePlus One. At the back, there is a Sandstone Black panel, which gives a very good in hand feel. Apart from the Sandstone back panel, you can also choose from multiple removable panels available online.

Moving ahead,  let’s talk about the display, though OnePlus did bring some significant improvements in their new smartphone, but they sure didn’t do much with the display, as a result, you are getting the same LTPS LCD screen featuring a 1080p resolution. The screen quality is good but doesn’t really impresses because it’s the same display which we saw with the OnePlus One.

OnePlus 2 Hardware Reviews:

OnePlus 2 Hardware Reviews

If there is a section where OnePlus never disappoints then that has to be the hardware, the device sports the powerful and which many considers being the flagship chipset of 2015, the Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, the processor is getting accompanied by 3 GB/ 4 GB of RAM, so doing heavy multitasking on this device is not a big issue.

The device also stands out to be one of the best gaming smartphones. As far as GPU is concerned, the device sports an Adreno 430 GPU, so no matter what kind of games you throw at it, the device handles it without facing any kind of lags or shutters, but when you play games on this device for a long duration the back of the device seems to heat up and sometimes and even reach around 40-45 degree celsius.

Software- No smartphone is perfect, all of them has some pros and cons if we had to pick the weakest point of the smartphone then that has to be the software, If the OnePlus 2 would simply come with the Android 5.0 stock UI, then things could have been a bit different. Out of the box, the device runs on Oxygen UI, built on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the biggest problem with the Oxygen UI is that it’s a new custom UI and needs a lot of enhancement, so while doing day to day multitasking, sometimes several apps might crash while you are using them, and you might also face some shutters while moving in and out of apps.

OnePlus 2 Reviews – Camera :

When it comes to the camera, then OnePlus did bring some improvements. At the rear of the device, there is a 13 MP sensor, which is getting assisted by a dual- LED flash, and a laser auto-focus system. And at the front, there is a 5 MP camera, both the camera does  a pretty good job especially the rear camera, pictures taken in good lighting conditions comes with a good amount of detailing but the color reproduction doesn’t seem to be that accurate what you expect it to be. Overall, for that price, you will not get the much better camera.

Battery- Giving the device life is a 3300 mAh non-removable battery, which delivers a decent backup at the beginning but once you install some OTA updates, the battery life really improves. For an average user, the device will able to last more than one day before it runs of juice.

Another thing about the device is that it comes with Type C 1.0 reversible port, which supports fast charging, so even if your battery drains out, you will be able to charge up the device within 90-120 minutes.

Fingerprint Sensor

The fingerprint sensor placed at the home button is not that accurate and honestly, it kind of fails to sense several times, especially, when the device heats up, it’s better you unlock the device manually because the fingerprint sensor sometimes takes a lot of time to recognize.
